Yunnan University bio natural gas industrialization technology Engineering Research Center was established in June 2014. Relying on Yunnan Agricultural University, it cooperates with Yunnan Yifeng clean energy Co., Ltd. The Engineering Research Center currently has 28 staff who come from different fields such as microbiology, chemistry, mechanical engineering, marketing, ecology, and so on. There are two professors, 14 associate professors, senior engineers, senior economists, and other associate senior titles, and 11 have doctoral degrees. The Engineering Research Center focuses on researching biogas gas production processes, large-scale gas production equipment, industrialization demonstration, development, etc. The engineering research center has mastered the critical technologies of Dianchi water hyacinth fermentation gas production and vegetable waste gas production and has published more than 70 research papers in professional journals, including 26 SCI and EI, and obtained 31 authorized patents related to the biological natural gas industry. Many of these patents and technologies have been applied to the equipment transformation of beishanwan large-scale biogas project pilot base in Dianchi, Kunming, and achieved good results.
