General information: Mathematics and applied mathematics majors mainly cultivate applied and inter-disciplinary talents who have a solid mathematical foundation and can carry out mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis on science and technology, economy, finance, and other problems with the help of modern mathematical ideas and methods supplemented by computers, to provide the scientific basis for the decision-making behavior of science and technology, biology, and many economic and financial industries. This major is enrolled according to the significant mathematics and applied mathematics categories, with two training directions of computational finance and computational biology. The length of study is 3-6 years, and the degree of bachelor of science is awarded.
