Dr. Zhang Dongying, a native of Tujia, is an associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, Yunnan Agricultural University. He is currently the director of the Scientific Research Office of the School of Science and an evaluation expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He graduated from Hunan Agricultural University in 2006 with a Ph.D. and worked in Yunnan Agricultural University in the same year. In 2013, Dayi Group’s post-doctorate in tea science went out. He was a visiting scholar in the famous teacher studio of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and worked in Sri Lanka for three months. Dr. Zhang Dongying’s research is mainly on developing and utilizing tea’s functional components and natural products. He has presided over two projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in more than ten provincial and ministerial-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 20 papers, including seven articles included in SCI, including 1 TOP journal in Agriculture and Forestry Science Zone 1 (corresponding author), and 1 SCI paper with an impact factor of 5.2 (corresponding author), Participated in the preparation of 4 monographs and obtained five authorized patents. He has taught courses such as “Comprehensive Utilization of Tea,” “English for Tea Studies,” and “World Tea Drinking Customs” for graduate and undergraduate students. He has guided more than 30 graduate and undergraduate students. Dr. Zhang Dongying participated in 4 teaching reform and scientific research team construction projects, including “Bioengineering Key Discipline Construction Project” and “Yunnan Province Transformational Nutrition Engineering Doctoral Supervisor Team Construction Project.”
