With a master’s degree, Zhou Hong is a professor and head of the chemistry department of the College of Science and a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Chemistry Majors in Yunnan Province. She has won the titles or award of Excellent Communist Party member, excellent party affairs worker, double leader of Party branch secretary, the first famous teaching teacher of Yunnan Agricultural University, the model of teacher morality in Yunnan Province, the second wudaguan excellent teacher award, and the Hongyun gardener award.

Since taking part in the work in 1983, Zhou Hong has worked hard. Her main courses include general chemistry, general chemistry experiment, analytical chemistry, analytical chemistry experiment, inorganic and analytical chemistry, inorganic and analytical chemistry experiment, instrumental analysis experiment, etc. After years of research and exploration, combined with the characteristics of agricultural colleges, Professor Zhou Hong edited or participated in compiling 13 undergraduate textbooks. Among them, quantitative analytical chemistry was rated as a high-quality textbook in Yunnan Province in 2013 and an excellent textbook by China Agricultural Science and education foundation in 2014.

Professor Zhou Hong has successively participated in the research of school funds, the Provincial Department of the education fund, national fund projects, etc. Professor Zhou Hong synthesized two new compounds through research, found two new structures, and published two SCI papers.
